Easter Weekend

It's springtime in Northern New Mexico! The weather is warming, the birds are singing, and the grass is growing! In celebration, we headed up to the mountains for our Easter Weekend. On Saturday, I got to explore a bit of the mountain terrain of Los Alamos. As I'm still a novice hiker, my human dad carried me in his backpack most of the way - I loved it! I get to see all the beautiful scenery, breath in the fresh air, and enjoy the great outdoors without wearing myself out! Plus, don't I look adorable?

I even got a little nap in... I was hoping my humans wouldn't notice, but I forget that I am the loudest snorer in the house!

For Easter Sunday, we all headed up to explore the Black Canyon Trail in Santa Fe. I like this trail! It's scenic, winding through the wooded forest, and isn't too steep for my wee legs. Plus, there was still a bit of snow left for us to roll around and play in. My big sis, Roxie, leads the way for us and loves rolling in the snow... Someday, I'll be as big and tough as she is!

Oh, the places we go! Happy Easter, Furrends!

We are Roxie and Rosie!

Just some Santa Fe bully girls looking for some fun in the sun and outdoor adventures! Follow our blog for all our wild journeys becoming mountain girls in the Southwest.

First, allow us to introduce ourselves. I am Roxie, a Labrabull rescue pup born in February 2014. I love long mountain summit hikes, swimming in rivers and lakes, and chasing lizards! I'm also a huge fan of long naps, cuddles, and wish I could be a lapdog.

And I am Rosie, a southern belle Frenchton born on April 4, 2015, learning from my big sis how to be a mountain girl! I love getting dirty, digging in the garden, chewing monster sticks, and backpack rides on long mountain hikes. I'm also the biggest snuggle bunny around!

Welcome to our adventure story!
